Getting Ready Preparations at Monkstadt 1745

KEZIA & JORDAN BEGAN THEIR ELOPEMENT DAY AT MONKSTADT 1745, A HISTORIC LUXURY LODGE ON THE NORTHERNMOST PENINSULA OF THE ISLE OF SKYE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING, RICH IN HISTORY AND TEXTURE. HAVING WOKEN TOGETHER AND HAD BREAKFAST, KEZIA & JORDAN WANTED TO GET READY TOGETHER,  SYMBOLISING THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD continue TO START EACH MORNING TOGETHER FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. Getting READY TOGETHER ON THE MORNING OF YOUR ELOPEMENT IS SOMETHING I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL COUPLES. YOUR DAY IS SUCH AN INTIMATE ONE, DEDICATED SOLELY TO YOU AND YOUR PARTNER SO SPENDING AS MUCH TIME WITH THEM AS POSSIBLE ON YOUR ELOPEMENT DAY IS SUCH A beautiful THING AND MAKES FOR STUNNING IMAGES.
WE SET TIME ASIDE TO CAPTURE SOME INTIMATE PORTRAITS OF THEM BOTH, DOCUMENTING THE LITTLE THINGS THAT OFTEN GET OVERLOOKED BUT ARE ACTUALLY JUST AS IMPORTANT AND beautiful AS THE BIG - WRITING THEIR VOWS WHICH THEY WOULD SOON SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER, JORDAN TAKING A BATH WHILE KEZIA HELPED WASH HIM, GETTING DRESSED AND JUST BEING TOGETHER IN THAT SPACE. ALL OF THESE MOMENTS TOGETHER HELPED CALM THEIR NERVES AND PREPARE THEM FOR THE EXCITING DAY AHEAD. ONCE THEY WERE EACH 80% READY, THEY SAID THEIR GOODBYES READY TO NEXT SEE EACH OTHER AT THEIR ELOPEMENT LOCATION.

First Look for Wild Elopement Ceremony at Tulm Bay

DUNTULM CASTLE IS JUST UNDER A 15 MINUTE DRIVE FROM MONKSTADT, situated high above Tulm Bay and the rugged coast beneath. Today the castle is a crumbling old stronghold, weather beaten and in ruins but it still clings to life, forever gazing across The Minch to the Isle of Lewis in the distance. The earliest written record of Duntulm comes when King James V visited in 1540 and was said to have been impressed by the castle's strength and the hospitality he was shown. Although the castle is practically no more, it is still a beautiful place and was the perfect backdrop for Kezia & Jordan’s Isle of Skye coastal elopement. It is yet to become a tourist hotspot, so is still one of Skye’s hidden treasures. Kezia & Jordan were able to have complete privacy while they exchanged their vows and officially tied the knot under a clear blue sky with ocean waves crashing around them. After their ceremony the couple had the cutest of picnics down on the beach, all beautifully arranged by Ella Mai Elopements

Sunset Couple Portraits at Neist Point, Isle of Skye

After lunch we drove to Neist Point Lighthouse, famed for it’s incredible views across the ocean as the sun sets. We made it just in time for the most beautiful light. It felt like the cliffs were suddenly bathed in golden honey and Kezia brought so much elegance to every image, all the while taming the fierce Scottish winds with her stunning organza skirt.

It truly was the most unbelievable day and apart from the cold, that sunset made us all feel like we were on a beautiful tropical island. It was magical.
